Travel Teams

Traveling teams are part of Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA) and divided up into separate boys and girls teams in the U9 age group (2017 birth year) through U14 age group (2012 birth year along with 8th graders born in 2011). In addition, High School grade girls may register for fall club soccer. HS grade boys may only play in the spring. Practices are generally held twice a week. Most games are during weekends and consist of 4 home games and 4 away games around the Madison area.

-Spring and Fall for ages U9-U18 (High school girls play only during Fall season. High school boys play only during Spring season)

-Fall registration open May-June. Season runs from September through November.

-Spring registration open November-December. Season runs from April to early June.

-Registration fee is $150.

*Deadline for registration is  JUNE 22ND, 2025. There will be a late of $40 added to the $150 registration fee for any player registered after the JUNE 22ND deadline.

-Any player brand new to traveling soccer will need to show Proof of Birth (Birth Certificate, Passport, or Driver's License) to a board member before playing games per MAYSA/WYSA requirement.

In-House Team Equipment Requirements

- Players are required to wear shin guards, suggested to wear under long socks to hold tight to their shins.

- Soccer Cleats are highly recommended for all players (Cleats must not have a post on the toe and must not be metal).

Travel Team Equipment Requirements

NEW THIS SEASON: Starting in the fall 2025 season, traveling players will no longer use the navy/white uniforms from Checkered Flag. Players will need to order a new style of uniform online that will last for 2 years and cost approx $75-$100. Further information will be sent to players through Playmetrics Communications

- Soccer cleats (no front spike), shin guards, and Navy shorts are required to be worn by each player
